You sound like you're angry at Quik. It's not like he's going on about how he's better than Dre.... You said yourself, you heard those interviews where he gives props to Dre. It's just other people's personal opinions, they like Quik more than they like Dre... so just let them keep bumpin "Rhythmalism" while you bump "Chronic 2001"... problem solved.

To me... Dre is a better producer than Quik... Dre is a better producer than anyone in Rap Music to me as of yet. But Quik is tight too... and it's cool to hear some underground/underrated sound from the west coast that doesn't get enough props and support it. IMO Quik is a wayyy better Rapper than Dre though. To start off, Dre doesn't even write his rhymes. And I can't really hear Dr Dre's voice for too long... it gets boring, but that's just me.

I dont know why you're even comparing Quik to Snoop and Bone, I thought we were talking about producers... but anywayz, as an ARTIST, I gotta give it up to Quik once again cuz he produces his shit and raps on it... you gotta respect that. Bone and Quik are wayyyyy different, I can't even really compare them.

Listen, Quik is the Name came out in 1991, Chronic came out in 1993. Do the math. Quik's Album came out 2 years before the Chronic. Shit, Way 2 fonky came out in 1992... That’s 2 albums before the Chronic. I don’t know where you got your info from, but I think you’ve been hitting the Sherm too hard.

regardless, Quik Is The Name and Way Too Fonky were both released before The Chronic so the argument that Quik's style is derivative of the chronic holds no water. I think Quik is one of very few west coast producers who's style is nothing like Dre's, he has his own vibe and always has.
