Have you thought about playing him some underground artists like Murs, Hieroglyphics, Zion-I, The Grouch, etc. If you want I can make a list of underground Cali rap I like and up it for you. Let me know.
I work with this guy who hates west coast rap and I'm looking for some tracks that might change his mind that the west coast is more than pimpin' bitches and killing people. He's 30 years old and big into Fu Schnickens, old school Wu-Tang, pretty much everything from the late 80s and early 90s east coast era. The only west coast rappers he knows/likes are Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, 2pac, and the ones from the Menace II Society soundtrack, which is the only west coast CD he has. PLEASE NO DOGG POUND! I've already tried. lolSo far I have:Planet Asia - Everyday RitualMasta Ace - Da GrindSly Boogy - RidiculousFrontline - Black Jack (the ones signed to E-A-Ski's label, not the ones from LA)Ras Kass - It Is What It IsRas Kass - The EndCrooked I - Leave Us AloneCelly Cel - It's Goin' Down Tonight3X Krazy - Keep It On The RealD.O.C. - The Formula
