Very interesting.  I've always had a tendency to think that whenever I experience deja vu listening to a song, it's a mutual sample.  But that one drum beat...stuck in my head for years, heard in so many songs now.  Most important drum loop indeed...that's probably understating it.

I have an original 7" pressing of this record.  It's called "Amen Brother".  The name of the group is The Winstons.  Don't remember the name of the label, but I can check if any of you want.  I do remember that it's a powder blue color.

There's lots of shit like this in Hip Hop.  Especially in old school shit, there seems like there was about 4 drum fills that were rehashed over and over.

But props for the knowledge.
