The Leftovers Thread (MELLOWMAN PLEASE READ THIS)

Someone needs to tell Dre that there are a lot of people who would cop a "Leftovers" album if he released one.  I can only dream of having songs like "The Throne is Mine," "What's the Difference (Original Version)" or "Blaooowh!" in cd quality, or any other rare shit that he's got shelved away somewhere.  I know there's a lot of songs that are just sitting there, and we'll probably never hear them.  Dre's probably worried that people would mistake a leftovers album for a new album and criticize it as such.  I can understand that, but those people are idiots anyway.  They are the same ones who said Dre had fallen off when the first Aftermath cd came out.  They don't have the brainpower to look into something before they judge it.  Fuck them.  There are real fans like me who NEED these rare joints.  I mean, Dre's music is like my lifeblood.  It's toruture knowing that these songs are out there and I can't have them in decent quality even if I'm willing to pay for them.  

So here's my idea: Dre could have like a limited release cd set (only a few thousand made), like on his website or something.  There could be a couple of cds with some tight outtakes (similar to Cube's "Bootlegs & B-Sides") and a couple of cds with instrumentals that were never available (i.e. Gin & Juice, NBK, Who Knew, I'm Back, The Throne Is Mine, Best of Things, etc.).  Otherwise, my only choice is to get a job with Aftermath and hope the good Dr. hits me off with some exclusives (yeah right, what are the chances of that?).  Oh well, these are the things fanatics think about.

MELLOWMAN, if you're reading this, let me know what you think about it.  If you think this has even a 1% chance of happening, I will start listing songs that I think should be on it.  I encourage everyone else who reads this to do the same, 'cause I know I'll forget a few and there are probably some things I don't know about that someone else does(maybe).

Look at what we have to look forward to, though.  We're not gonna see it til we're like 60, but by then there's gonna be enough of Dre's unreleased shit to fill box set after box set.  Believe me, this shit will come out one day.  I just hope I'm still alive when it does.

It will get released one day in huge box set,  where all proberly be in our 40's when it comes out,  but it will come out one day,  Hopefully when dre drops detox,  Suge will decide to release the Chronic 2 songs an other unrealeased dre stuff .  As much as most of us all hate suge we woud buy it

Yo, you have these in GOOD quality???  I have never found any leftovers except "The Way I Be Pimpin'" in near-cd quality.

at the moment Suge cannot release any of Dre's stuff other than 'in the form Dre intended' (some kinda of artistic vision clause) this is the result of the legal battle between Dre &* Suge's lawyers back when the original Chronic 2000 (with hohopper etc) was conceived.

Suge can however do stuff with Snoop and anyone else, coz unlike Snoop, Dre has full control over his publishing.
