In the NFL, the Raiders and the Cowboys are the same, in that they have fans all over the country. Raider fans have been quite lately, but when they were winning with Gruden as coach, you heard Raider fans in every game.

The Celtics use to rival the Lakers, and the Jordan era Bulls, but the Lakers still hold on to the national fans.

In baseball, the Yankees by and away are the most popular team, and you can hear fans at every game. I remember being at Anahem stadium (fuck it, it's still Anahem stadium) when they played the Yankees, and it was the only time I saw fans from the other team there. And this was the year after the Angels won the World Series, and the Yankee fans where still out numbering the Angel fans.

In Minnesota, I saw the Lakers play the T-Wolves, and it was funny because the Lakers use to be in MN. So when I entered the Target Center, I was not surprised to see every person over 50 with a Laker jersey (I talked to an old dude who watched them as a kid in MN... that was cool) but to see all the younger fans, and this was when the T-Wolves were in the playoffs every year, have on there 34 Shaq jerseys, that was impressive. But the Laker support, and there was a lot in MN for obvious reasons, did not compare to the Yankees in Anaham.
