I used to love the Lakers and Kobe was my favorite player.  But when the whole rape case came about.  Then it turned out that it was just consensual sex, I lost alot of respect for him, not as a player but as a person.  He had a wife and daughter at the time.  I personally would never do anything like that to my wife.  Alot of people will say well when ur in his situation with pussy being thrown at you all over the place, your rich, a celeb, blah blah blah.  If that is true then he should learn how to handle himself.  That's all bad publicity for him, Lakers, endorsements.  There's no doubt that Kobe is a great player.  MY OPINION is that I lost alot of respect for the whole cheating thing, and then the girl fight between him and Shaq.  I also lost respect for Shaq for that too.
