Of these two albums, which one would you say is better musically? That means aside from the concepts, lyrics, skits, and whatever else.

I'd say..................................

i just read again, and im amazed how you say aside "from the concepts, lyrics, skits and whatever else", what is left off an album when you strip those things from it...lol

the beats ;)

i'd rather listen to an instrumental version of Rhythmalism then 2001... so Quik gets my vote...

(oeven tho i think 2001 is a better album)

Yeah exactly....for one, just as Mygla said, this is basically comparing the instrumental version of these albums. The beats/instrumentals are really what draw people into music...especially for West Coast albums like these.

voted rhythm-al ism, but both albums are classic no doubt.
But I like Quikstas a bit more because it has the "chill effect" 8)
2001 is better to bump it in your car but rhythm-al ism is the bust album to chill

Musically Rhythmalism, Safe & Sound, & Street Gospel> Chronic 2001....seriously, Quik's complexity gets the nod over Dre's crisp simpleness.  I'm still finding instrumental adlibs on Quik's albums years after the fact.
