I think Warren G in my eyes has always been more consistent over the years...

Daz has dropped some monster beats but over recent years some have been well below par

Soopa is the same as Daz in many ways, incredible producer but in Soopa's case he doesnt release enough material and when he does it can often be hit or miss

Good comparision though as they are all great producers but all have slipped up during thier careers with poor quality material

quadrouple word :)

Even tho i didn't feel much of the production on In The Midnite-Hour..

the contents of The Mid-Nite Hour might dissapoint you if you are looking for some gangsta-wanksta stuff....but the beats are ON POINT.

judging from the Dogg Chit tracks I've heard I don't know if he's using a coprodiucer or not but these beats are the best from him that I've heard in a while

I know since his DPG LP up until now it has been Ivan Johnson. He will do a Soopa co produced beat here and there but Ivan is the main producer he does the bulk of his production with.

I thought daz always had co-producers. People said Dre used to mix/master everything that came out of death row, so with that in mind, Daz may do the beats (as he does now) but someone like Dre or Ivan might master/mix? i dunno though

I think you're right, like Daz produced the majority of Dogg Food, but Dre mixed the record that's why it sounded so good, then you take Dillinger and Gotti which had dope beats but I think Mike Dean was doing the mixing, and it didn't sound as crisp

It's hard to top a album mixed by Dre. I actually liked when Daz was working with Mike Dean. He gave the beats a little bit more of a grimey sound to them. The bass knocked and the keys were hittin. This guy Ivan Johnson seems to have a mixture of sounds but he fits Daz's style a little better.

the bass was kickin especially on that Coastin track, Mike Dean was dope he just brought a different type of sound on that album than what I was expecting

they're all dope man... but warren is proly the most consistent..... the thing that always bothers me is that none of these producers get love out of the westcoast... these guys r known predominantly as producers not emcees... yet they r never called on from artists outside of their camp... i know daz did my life for ti... but other than that man i can't really name anything

who better for tha dogg pound to produce for than tha dogg pound? personally I'd be pissed if Jay z, JD, 50 or a bunch of mediocre southerners fucking up a daz beat that Kurupt could have been ripping up. shit, that's the problem I have with dre!
