what's up witht timbo and eminem for a record? that would be off the chain. fuck timbo's obsession with taking mediocre artists and making a whole fuckin' album for them. he should take an already dope artist and make a whole dope record with them.

that's the difference between him and dre and that's where scott storch was right: timbo ain't no talent scout.

he just knows how to make catchy tunes with pop icons. dude should do hip hop and real funk like he was born to do.

there's very few rappers who sound good on an inventive timbo beat. IMO working with justin timberlake and hippy artists like nelly fratado gives timbo an avenue to explore more past hip hop, he's been doing hip hop for a long long time now, as well as RnB. so i think it's time he picks and chooses what he wants to do now, instead of being ran into a corner. kind of like Rick Ruben. justin timberlake and nelly fratado are not my cup of tea at all but i see where timbo is coming from , from an artists POV. those artists are like madonna and michael jackson, while they're not mariah or marvin gaye, they do pocess an artistical drive that i think is more admirable than 95% of the rappers out there today. IMO rap artists are some of the most unoriginal artists as a musical community (note i didn't say all) and i think that's why timbo chooses to be called a music producer now instead of a hip hop producer, it's more inspiring. That's why you see producers like rick ruben who go from producing , LL cool j  to run dmc. to beastie boys to slayer. then to the red hot chili peppers to johnny cash, now he's doing the dixie chicks and metallica and system of a down.....that's an artist right there...and then he did a neil diamond record too ...a GOOD one at that LOL.

so at the end of the day i'd pick someone like timbo who's trying to expand and share his musical horizons with artists over someone like scott storch (how dare he impy he's superior at finding talent...LoL @brook hogan) who only capitalizes off people's fame

anyway, I agree him trying new things is dope, being a music producer is dope. I think his r and b work is just as good as his rap work but check it:

N.W.A straight outta compton's style was good.

efil4zaggin...a classic but flawed album....without the intelligence of Ice cube, the group became self parody which is why dre needed to get someone artistically smoother and more believable in their gangsterosity like snoop(who is ironically, self parody now as well)

timbo's work with nelly furtado and some with JT-dope it's a cool idea but when he takes it to the point of "I'm gonna take every shitty pop music artist and make a banger..." it's stretching the concept thin, just like efil4zaggin/100 miles do with N.w.a's 'shtick' or whatever. He's doing it for the attention now, with furtado and even timberlake, it was artistic pursuit...now it's his gimmick. I say fuck a gimmick when there are real dope artists you should fuck with.

but you're right, expanding his horizons is dope but he has whack taste in rock acts. elton john's the only really dope cat on his new record outside of dre, magoo and missy.
