there's very few rappers who sound good on an inventive timbo beat. IMO working with justin timberlake and hippy artists like nelly fratado gives timbo an avenue to explore more past hip hop, he's been doing hip hop for a long long time now, as well as RnB. so i think it's time he picks and chooses what he wants to do now, instead of being ran into a corner. kind of like Rick Ruben. justin timberlake and nelly fratado are not my cup of tea at all but i see where timbo is coming from , from an artists POV. those artists are like madonna and michael jackson, while they're not mariah or marvin gaye, they do pocess an artistical drive that i think is more admirable than 95% of the rappers out there today. IMO rap artists are some of the most unoriginal artists as a musical community (note i didn't say all) and i think that's why timbo chooses to be called a music producer now instead of a hip hop producer, it's more inspiring. That's why you see producers like rick ruben who go from producing , LL cool j  to run dmc. to beastie boys to slayer. then to the red hot chili peppers to johnny cash, now he's doing the dixie chicks and metallica and system of a down.....that's an artist right there...and then he did a neil diamond record too ...a GOOD one at that LOL.

so at the end of the day i'd pick someone like timbo who's trying to expand and share his musical horizons with artists over someone like scott storch (how dare he impy he's superior at finding talent...LoL @brook hogan) who only capitalizes off people's fame

efil4zaggin...a classic but flawed album....without the intelligence of Ice cube, the group became self parody which is why dre needed to get someone artistically smoother and more believable in their gangsterosity like snoop(who is ironically, self parody now as well)

justin timberlake before timbo......guys hated him, women were starting to classify him as another jordon knight " childish crush"  he helped reinvent him and now it's actually OK for guys to walk around talking about how ther're going to buy his cd.

nelly fratado, she went from.... "i'm like a bird" ....a probable one hit wonder, to on the same Modonna like level that only gwen stefani and to a lot lessor extent pink have been able to attain.  that's impressive


his taste right now is for the dance music...taht's a given. who WAS the biggest dance artist of the past 10 years. Britney Spears. someone no one wants right now....can you imagine how much of a challenge it'd be to ressurect that career? man no matter what you think about her talent you got to admire him for TRYING to do that. In all honesty , he's the only producer capable of doing it IMO.
