There are plenty of good artists that have put out hot shit on Koch, but there's also plenty of wack ones as well.  There's a reason Koch has a reputation as being a label for has-been artists, ya know.  Don't forget that Master P operates thru them now.

Nah they don't have good acts.  But if you just say Universal the company (which owns Interscope and Geffen among endless other labels) then you straight.  But that defeats the purpose of this thread kind, so you can't say UNIVERSAL.

Koch main artists: Jim Jones, Camron, Dipset, Tha Dogg Pound, Prodigy, Alchemist, William Hung, Xzibit


And most of Koch is one time releases. I don't see how Koch, quality wise, or even sales wise can compare to Geffen. So please tell me which Koch artists are better then the big Geffen/Interscope releases, Furtado, Gwen, Re-UP, Snoop, Game, Timbaland...

i guess you aint up on things. their releases in the last 3 years have all been dope except for those Scarface "albums" theyīve released. Roīs dropped 3 bangers,Bunīs shit was dope,Pimp Cīs album and compilation were dope,Restless is crazy dope and from what iīve heard from P.O.Pīs album itīs gonna be banging. and Face is negotiating for a new deal with them and he doesnīt drop weak shit period.

I like Koch's business model much better, and I like their laissaz faire approach to their artists.  Undoubtedly Interscope has much bigger names on it's roster and has the sales to go along with it, but their albums all sound the same and rarely put out anything that excites me these days.

They don't do big numbers but they keep rappers happy. I'm very happy in the quality of most Koch records except for Against Tha Grain which was wack and Cali Iz Active was subpar.

It seems like Koch is more of a distributor than a "record label."  i could be wrong, but the impression I've got from Koch is that the artist does their own thing, and basically takes it to them to put out.  On a label like Interscope, there's people working for you constantly, and making decisions about what you're doing with the record.
