Then wtf is your problem? If you're totally satisfied with what you have then what does it matter to you. The only differences are the bigger HD,HDMI port, and its black. If the 120 gig HD is such a big deal to current 360 owners they can buy it separately. And like you said, if you want your 360 to be black, paint the fucker.

And about the bill gates thing, I HIGHLY DOUBT that he has much to do with the 360. You make it seem like he just sits in his throne on the top floor of the microsoft offices coming up with new ideas for the 360, trying to con people out of money. I'm sure they have a whole separate division within the company that deals with the 360.

I think the most important thing for the new model is to be a hell of a lot more reliable than the currently avaliable systems. There is only so many times people are going to send a machine in for repair/replacement before they just get tired of it and move onto a competitors product.

The whole thing seems a bit of a dumbass move from Microsoft, at a time where they should be making the most of the price difference between them and the PS3 they are instead launching a more expensive model and losing much of that advantage in the process. When people factor in the cost of a HD-DVD drive its the same price, if not more than a PS3, just a stupid move in my opinion.

It might also be worth pointing out that existing 360 owners may have to upgrade to this machine if they wish to take advantage of the wider video on demand services Microsoft are going to be launching, as it's likely that the HDMI port is mainly there for it's HDCP capabilities so that streaming High Definition content can't be copied in anyway. Therefore uses who view high def content currently through VGA or Component will not have access to these features.
