Half-Life 2

after finally hearing all the ranting about it being the game of the year in 04 and all the other endless hype, i decided to check it out....lemme say this, they weren't lying. this game has some of the best graphics, storyline and gameplay of it's time. i wish they still made games like this  if you guys on comps haven't checked this, i recommend it 110%. i just entered the entanglement level...and its gettin good

1st is CLASSIC - got it on the day of release back in November 98!
2nd is GOOD (but waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to short and story was a bit so-so)

Part 2 Episode 1 was good but again very short (as its being split over 3 games)

looking forward to part 2 for a storyline continuation!

Classic series IMO, all the way through. Half-Life 2 seriously raised the bar for 1st person shooters though.

Too bad the second expansion episode is taking FOREVER. And seeing that it won't be very long either, the development time seems ridiculous. But it don't matter in the end, as longas it's as dope as the stuff that preceded it.

true that man. i actually just beat HL2 earlier tonight. AWESOME. i can't wait to play episode 1. i read up on all the estimated release dates of the episodes and episode II is WAYY the fuck behind...shit sucks.

i have a question too....how long is episode 1 compared to the full game? i'm curious because i wanna know what is taking Valve so long to develop EP2.

Fuckin great game yea, Iīm also playing it at the moment. Only thing that I dont like is that you can only carry so much ammo. I want more ammo for the revolver and the shotgun. I love them.

Can only be beaten by Duke Nuken Forever

true that. latest word is that 3d realms got the go ahead to fully develop it. supposedly, there was like a $3.0M+ contract on the company to develop the game. i guess they finally took the offer.

I bet that games comes out when I donīt even check for that sort of games anymore... What a shame, Duke 3D was the shit back in the day, plus it had the first editor that I was capable of using. lol

I got the game somewhere but I never played it cuz my computer isn't powerful enough. Last game i was able to play was soldier of fortune 2 with low graphics and that game sucked. I Passed the first half life more than 40 times, and i played to more than 30 mods including firearms, counter strike, day of defeat, action hl, etc. I'm sure hl2 is great game I was fuckin Hyped back in 2003 when i heard valve were making it. Doom 3 and far cry are 2 other cool games i wish i could have played.

SoF 2 isnīt that bad in multiplayer though, I play that from time to time and itīs really fun for some time. Gotta agree though, itīs not one of the best shooters... Far Cry really rocks, although I never played the single player mode cause my pc canīt handle it. Doom 3 was cool, really intense and frightening at times, I like HL2 ten times more though. Thank god there are mods (single player) for HL2 too.
