i was in LA about 3 months ago, and i walked into amiba music on sunset and coped like 20 cds and a few pete rock LPs, u can not do that shit over here in the uk, its only mainstreem stuff,

Album sales is not like they use 2 be,Dogg pounf would of sold more,because me and my cousins went 2 best buy,the shit was sold out at every best buy we went 2,so they album was sold out and would of sould more if more was pressed,in my opion

see that's the thing though, going platinum today is like hitting a huge milestone. back in the mid-nineties when there was no internet and people had to actually go out a buy albums, platinum sales were all over the place. a successful mainstream artist back then hit multi platinum status easily. now, the successful mainstream artists are lucky to even hit 1 million in sales. piracy has definitely taken its toll.
