So the argument is: people are expected to buy a CD they DON'T WANT so that the guys selling it feel their egos have been stroked enough to warrant putting out a record that people genuinely want to hear?

Get some business sense fellas - that shit wouldn't wash with Alan Sugar on The Apprentice, and it damn sure won't wash with me :P

lol for the people entertainment your fired  ;D

Just put out Crooked I Say Hi To The Bad Guy, you can charge whatever you want and people will buy it.  Charging 15 bucks for 8 Kurupt tracks from a project that no one really ended up liking in the first place is kind of ridiculous, especially considering that Kurupt isn't gonna see any of the money, so its not like we're "supporting the artist."  I'd pay big money for the Crooked album.  I'm also really interested in the Danny Boy album.

id also pay good money for the crooked album , the thing is the majority of people will just use any old excuse and download it..

That's true.  So I think this is what they should do.  I pledge on here that if I pay for the Crooked I album, I will not leak it.  I will keep it to myself, and bump only in my own car.  I'll send these dudes 50 bucks paypal right now, I'll keep my mouth shut, and we're done.  If you run the site that's selling this stuff, and you're interested, PM me.

lol all those dics have to sell before they put out that dre one  >:(

Yup. He's basically a smart businessman. The not so popular projects won't sell unless he puts them out and basically says if you buy this, you will be able to buy this later on. Can't knock the dude for having a plan to make sure everything sells good not just the popular ones.

 Why don't these losers get a real job.  If you're pushing a shitty prodcuct nobody wants, take the L and move on.  Don't waste your time with this bush league marketing crap.  These probably ain't even real albums, probably some bull shit thrown together that everybody else tries to do.

I'd buy all of those if I heard them and they were good but definetly not $15 for 8 unreleased Kurupt tracks and over $20 for a fucking Petey Pablo album. This record company is nuts.

fuck that noise. kurupt's probably won't be too good especially after listening to against tha grain (which had only a couple of good tracks) and these tracks are from the same time he recorded that. then petey pablo isn't too great either so i won't be picking that up. all I want is crooked I's and Dr Dre deathrow 2 CD instrumental CD

I don't know what your talking about, "Against The Grain" is a great album that was slept on, You could pretty much listen to the whole album with only skipping a couple of tracks (the 2pac remix and the track without Kurupt on it).

And has far has buying these albums, I don't know why anyone wouldn't buy Kurupts if they are a fan, and The same goes for the rest of the releases they are considering. $15 $20 even $30 dollars is peanuts, you could find that walking down the street. For everyone complaining about these projects costing too much, you need to get a job, because if you consider this too much money your going to have a hard time making it through life.

too much money to spend on impractical things

and even as far as an impractical things budget there are too many perfect/classic pieces of art to buy imperfect/non-classic pieces of art.

furthermore, I really like 15/18 of ATG. I would call it some of the most original west coast hip hop I've ever heard. on a sonic level, the record is thunderous and amazing and kurupt is really fired up. even lyrically on a lot of the tracks.
