hawino records released his last album, reyes brothers are also on that label. it was a flop because the label doesn't know how to self market, they didn't set out to work the internet, they relied on magazine ads and radio play which he got little of. if it wasn't for our own connect with warren and doing our own digging little or no news or media from the release would've been on dubcnn and countless other outlets.

I think bodogmusic is a distribution deal for his album in the UK/EIRE, and Hawino records is a distribution deal for the US.  Quite a few artists have different companies to handle the distribution in different countries.

Flop as in numbers wise compared to his previous albums, I would say a major factor would be going through the independent record label route.

But I wouldn't entirely blame Hawino records for not knowing how to self market.  I think a lot of responsibility lies with Warren G and his management crew.  They  been in the business for over a decade, they are very experienced in the area.  they showuld know what what and how to utilise the best resources for themselves

I Need A Light and Get U Down Remix really should've blown up as singles. Most of the rest of the album was a dissapointment for me though.

That album was dope as hell if you ask me. There were a few tracks (cough Gurilla Pimpin) that I absolutely dont like, but overall it's a rock solid piece of musical smoothness. Warren is the dude 8)
