shit... westcoastvet is the second person to mention Race Against Time.  the remix with tank is fresh in my memory but i forgot all about the original.. it's been 2 1/2 years since that.  oh well.  i guess there is a similiarity, but hopefully the fact that my verses come through with a totally different sound than the chorus it doesnt get too monotonous like ja can be at times.

by the way... this dude on mp3.com called Uni-Vers-Al did the beat for "I Apologize" & "In This Lifetime" and I also used one of his beats a long time ago for a love song called "What I Mean"... he's one of the best producers I've come across online.

Im gonna be honest here....

ima start with bad critism:

the chorus and the hooks aint nuthin i impressed by ... and you got too many chorus and hooks in the song ... i belive 50% consits of them ...

good critism:

damn, you got a phat voice, fo' real ... you got one of the better voices ive heard on internet ... and the beat is phat, you also got a good flow ... i dont know if anybody have noticed, but your voice reminds me a little of Bad Azz ...

Overal:
the track is tight ... but it would be even tighter if you deleted some of the chorus and hooks, or even let anybody else do the chorus...

i know that the hooks and things are a big bulk of the song but here was my thought process...  i usually try to stay away from the 16 bar verse/ 4 bar chorus formula... and the length of the song and the points at which the high synth comes into the track, dictated the placement of the hooks... but hey, thanks for the criticism... it helps.
