Why the hell did DAZ and DJ Quik change their flow?
« on: April 26, 2007, 04:18:17 PM »
I never understood why they did this

Daz: was bumpin "Doggy Dogg World" today and that n1gga had a real smooth flow now he's trying to be some hard ass flow and tries to rap fast but comes off as just sounding like he got something up his ass

DJ Quik: another n1gga with a smooth ass flow who now in some songs just sounds wack trying to sound hard with his soft voice.
Guess who back in the motherfuckin house
With a fat dick for your motherfuckin mouth
Hoes recognize, niggaz do too
Cuz when bitches get skanless and pull a voodoo.....

Daz didnt have an identity as a rapper then. He was either always biting Snoop's southern drawl or being outshined by Kurupt/Rage/RBX. Lyrically NOW he's had his better verses as well.

I always liked Daz's flow when he would sound all jamaican like such as on Lil Ghetto Boy and The Day The Niggaz Took Over.

I agree

Daz used to have a tight as fuck flow, second best only to snoop on doggystyle

I like when Quik does the Jamaican accent too, like on his "Bombudd" songs and "Me Wants To Rip Your Girl".

"Dem wonder why me violent and no really understand
For de reason why me take me law, in me own, hand
Me not out for peace and me not Rodney King
De gun goes - click, me gun goes - bang
Dem riot in Compton and dem riot in Long Beach
Dem riot in L.A. cause dem no really wanna see
niggaz start to loot and police start to shoot
Lock us down at seven o'clock, barricades us like Beirut
Me don't show no love cause it's us against dem
Dem never ever love me cause it's sport to break dem
and kill, at my own risk, if I may
to lay, to spray, with my AK, and put it to rest"

One of the best Daz verses ever 8)
"Hip Hop was better off when it was just Dre, Scarface, and Esco"

I loved Quik's flow and voice.. just like Eazy, but he started fuckin' it up on "Trauma" on tracks like "Fandango", now it's even worst.
