Nas!!!!  For sure.  That track is ill.  The Dre track was just aiight, I wasn't really feeling the lyrics, Royce wrote it to where it sounded like Dre's lil bro Tyree was a gangsta or something when he probably wasn't at all, but who knows, I just wasn't feeling the lyrics in the 2001 version.

the message by grandmaster flash is a hip hop classic.....dont sleep on that beat....that beat is fresh now and it came out in like 79 or some shit.

between Dre and Nas, the Nas one is better.  If Dre wanted to get his feelings across, he should have written the song himself to give it a more personal touch.

I like nas's version better. But the dre 2001 version is good.  The  Grandmaster flash version is sick, it's fucked up that puffy got put his hands on a classic track like this.
