How come so many people know the SSB

Star Spangled Banner!

watching the people across the world sing it is like WHOA! How do they know it... I know it and never sing it... i just know it, we have to know it basically... but damn the only other anthem I know is Mexico's national anthem and thats cause im mexican, even that I have trouble with cause im terrible at spanish.

Well... erm Jimi Hendrix did a good version of it.. but without words.

hehe.. its on a lot of american movies etc.. so I guess we pick it up there too.

btw.. did u know that the guy that wrote it nicked the tune from a london drinking club song, and just made the words.

LOL i know the music and some of the words funny thing is a have'nt a clue what the fuck the irish national anthem even like ..... I'm aslo not even sure what the irish presidents name is ... i think its mary something .... thats terrible isn't it ? LOL  ;D

Dayum, u think the Irish one is hard 2 learn, try the Welsh anthem, shit is all in Welsh, it's sad really that I don't know it since thats my native language, lol. The only bit I know is the actual tune & the "Gwlad, Gwlad" bit, thats the chorus I think  ???

I Know It, Mainly Because I'm American, But It's Also Sang As A BIG Deal At The Beginning Of Every U.S. Sporting Event, Which Is Probably Why Most Peeps Know It.  When Whitney Houston Sang It At The Olympics, That Was The Greatest Ever... Everytime I Hear It, I See Her Standing There Singing It, Giving It All She's Got.

i think i know it (well not fully) and i'm not american, is because 4 the past 3 summers i've been in the States on the forth of July ...
lol last time my lil sis says out really loud when a few people were looking at the fireworks singing ...

I know the Israeli one, the one that Pac sampled. I know it because in my old Hebrew school we sang it every morning (Same with the Pledge of Alligence), but I barely know the Star Spangled Banner, I know it's sad that I don't know it all by heart...But I know like half of it...
