DJ Quik did a little bit of mixing on the Kokane record I think.

Pope does keyboards on a song

Quik also does keyboards on a song

and Blaqtoven produced a track

all else is wells

have not physically seen a copy of digital master, and frankly I wasn't impressed enough by this record to get it before say...finishing my Quik collection you know?
but if i ever physically see a copy of it in front of me, there's a good chance I'll cop it.

I've been bumpin' Digital Smoke a lot lately. This album & Back B4 You're Lonely are my favorite West Coast albums right now. But on Digital Smoke, I'm really feeling the tracks "I Came In The Door", "All We Smoke", "Summertime", & "History". Those songs bang out the car speakers real good. But from 1-10, I'd give it like a 7.5 or 8.

been bumpin this, Roscoe drops almost all heat. his verses get better with each listen. Kurupt does okay on a few songs.

that song I'm just sayin grows on me. I don't like the song 'get it'

'all we smoke', 'summertime' and 'smokin' are great. as are the skits, i like the music behind the skits.

that Kokane track is crazy too, also the Liks track is dope.

Get it is one of my favorites, that beat is a heater

Digital Smoke on iTunes . . . $9.99

And if you buy it on iTunes you don't actually own the album. you're leasing a copy for 10 dollars that is not in CDQ. you can just buy this CD in CDQ at a record store

You are partly right and wrong here.

You do own the music.  You can burn it to a CD.  You own the file.  No leasing going on.

The quality is questionable and up to personal opinion... the quality is fine for me.  It is obviously not encoded at a high bitrate as you could rip from a physical CD, but it's decent.  If you really want an .mp3 version of whatever you buy on iTunes, you can simply burn a copy onto a CD and then rip the song again using mp3 format... this way you have an mp3 you can use anywhere which anyone can use.

I think I tried doing that: burning it onto an audio cd and then re-ripping it and it didnt work.

anyway, i always prefer copping the actual product for the artwork and liner notes and everything. All the digital smoke artowrk is courtesy of Tek 9 Designs.
