Crooked I started this Boss thing about 1 year and a few months ago, now tell me who was callin themselves BOSS then? NOBODY....and of course I know Snoops album was called "Paid da,...." but uhm, did he ever call himself BOSS? NO, he was callin himself every other name but Boss... anyway....in a few months you all will know what I'm talkin about, till then, enjoy this Snoopy guy....

dont get me wrong, I like Snoops music, I bump it all the time, not that new stuff, but gotta give him credit for what he did, but dude is the main reason why them young dudes aint comin up like they supposed to do, and dont tell me he got Damani and them because he aint pushin them how 50 was pushin his camp. He got them a cheap ass video and all, god damn, why dont he givin them those million dollar budgets? he got that shit on lock, he could make even bigger $ but he aint got that business mind of a 50 or Jay Z.

Do you think this Snoop / Crook beef is gonna get big, cause I peeped that You Tube vid where Crook was hinting at videos where other dudes callin' themselves Boss. I mean, yeah, Snoop is a huge name and iconic in many respects, but if he can't go bar for bar with Snoop. I just hope it stays between Snoop and Crook though, cause I'd like to see Crook collab with Kurupt again.

^^^

I don't know i hope not..cuz unity is important, even more so for the West right now!!
As Crook callin himself and gettin mad at other rappers  penning that title..i really can't understand why he is mad??
It's not like his name is "Boss"

If his name was "Boss"..then it would be a different thing
As for the person who mentioned that Crook started  tagging the "boss" a year prior to nsoop, what about rappers back in the days, who called went by the name "boss"..do they have a say in this???
But then who am i??..
Just sum dude sittin behind a PC..

Crook should just concentrate on making music..than worrying about who is using what title!!

Just Ma Thoughtz!

still that BOSS thing is Crooked I's shit, and now dude acts like he a Boss, right when Crooked started this Boss campaign on dubcnn and all that.... song was good tho, video was terrible

You know that Snoop's 2002 album was named "Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Bo$$" right? I think Nate Dogg was waaaay better than Akon. Akon sounds like a frog to me and Nates ad-libs at the end are dope.

This is true about the "Boss" concept and anyone that knows me knows I'm a big Crook supporter (what up to Novakane)... However, with that being said, I think that it is POSSIBLE, that Snoop brought the Boss title back after the tension with Crook and him started. Although, at the same time every single rapper on the West AND in the South calling themselves Bosses for a while though.

Anyway, as far as the topic goes... I live on the East Coast never ONCE heard Bosses Life on the radio, but I see the video on MTV or BET once a day.

Lol real talk, that's the new word for 2k7.  8)

Crooked I a.k.a. Young Boss? he has this thing since 2004, anyway, I didnt wanna cause all that shit in here....lol

uhm, believe me, Crooked I is working HARD, he recorded features for other peoples tapes, shot a video with SKG, did his Hip Hop Weeklys, recordin for his album, did a few shows recently etc., it aint like he's checking the game on who uses this Boss thing, but you cant deny that all this Boss talkin never took off until a few months back, when Crooked I used it as his mixtape series title, and been callin himself Boss, Young Boss, Boss of the west for some time now, but thats not the point

Snoop was tellin bullshit in this dubcnn interview, and Snoop knows what he said wasnt the truth, so...
I mean, I dont want to see any beef like that on the West, but Snoop been callin for unity, and like a few days later he comes out talkin shit about Crook and other rappers in an interview.

read bro!

did I say he came up with it?

I said, he used it since 2004, and you didnt hear them two you just mentioned callin themself Boss since you mentioned in 2002/03, it kinda watered down, so Crooked used it to say, we gotta BOSS UP on the West to make it. all of a sudden after 3 years or even more, Snoop comes up with it again after bad mouthin on Crooked here in a dubcnn interview.

anyway, I'm done with this, I didnt want to start all that, totally of topic...

its kind of normal that the song didnt do well, because he aint saying nothing serious!!  the song is about being a boss but who cares about that,  i mean he wasted a good beat for the type of lyrics that we hear everyday about wacky rappers. In my Opinion Snoop is losing it, slowly...and as Much as yall claim that Snoop Dogg is a legend, until now he didnt do nothing to really gain his respect as a rapper, the only album he has to back him up is Doggystyle, I dont wanna sound like a hater because i am a fan of his, but when u think about it, He didnt really act right during his career, on every album he was like " This is the best effort i ever made" , but then we see it as a disapointment.

I dont want to compare him to Jay Z but take a look at jay z' career, although some of his album sucks, most of them are solid and he knew how to promote them and promote his artists, and he was able to put songs year after year that we would enjoy until this day, lets not forget the nice videos, i mean dude really knows how to do things, while Snoop on another hand ,  is always trying to prove a point wit his record and always getting worst, this "I am a Gangsta Crip" thing is what will kill his career, and as a CEO he failed with his artists and went from Geffen to Koch... and what is killing him even more is that, he doesnt limit his guest appareances, dude is on every songs from rookies, to OG's, Snoop is like everywhere like he was afraid that people forget about him ...

anyway All this to say that although he looks famous and successful, in my opinion, Snoop doesnt have the Respect he could get, and thats basically his fault!!

Its pretty much like this and it don't matter who said what first or whatever cause thats silly over a word.  Snoop has his own clothing, own label, has his own car, his own dog food, his own football league and has many official albums out.  Thats more like a boss.

Crooked I is the boss of what?  Crooked I is a boss in his own mind and thats it.  No disrespect to crook but its crazy that you would even compare the two in accomplishments.  I feel like i shouldn't have to replied but here you go.

Actually i agree, Crooked I has no reason for being a "boss". He's a boss of a label who ain't putting nothing out, whoa what a great job!!

Anyways, Snoop still a bitch for what he did in the past to Crooked, that's a fact too.
