What the funk is goin on y'all? I know I've been gone for a while but I told you I would be. I wanted to do something special for my 100th post but I just didn't have the time to prepare anything. I even had to postpone my week off because shit is so hectic right now. I'll have to wait for a few months to take a break.
The last time I posted I let y'all in on some never before heard information regarding the Truth's upcoming joint and "The wash" soundtrack.  When I mentioned that the wash soundtrack would be out in september a lot of people doubted me. But the soundtrack will be out on september 25th. we was hoping that we could get it out by september 18th but that ain't gonna happen. Arrainging and mixing the album, along with the artwork and manufacturing of the album is going down to the last minute as it is. But with the movie coming out october 3rd the soundtrack must be out on september 25th. And it will be out on that date.
All I got to say about "The wash" is to fasten your seatbelts y'all. The wash is looking to be THE hip hop event of the year. Dre and Snoop have hooked up some great reunion tracks together. They are not trying to remake "Nuthin But A G Thang", nor are they trying to top it. no track dre and snoop do together will have the uniqueness and impact on music that g thang had. "G Thang" changed music forever. That being said, I know most of y'all are going to be blown away by their tracks together. a few people will find something to bitch about, but these same ignorant people have been complaining that dre hasn't done any g funk lately or that his new stuff ain't as good as his old stuff, etc. I'm sure those people have already started bitchin and their dumb asses haven't even heard the whole song in cd quality yet. So to those people who find something to complain about, i'm sorry. I'm sorry we can't meet your impossible expectations. but all the true dre and snoop fans are gonna love their new shit. The rest of the wash is just as dope and there are a few big surprises for y'all.
Everyone check out the training day soundtrack, out in a few weeks. its dope. Dre and The Truth have a duet called "Cops" on the soundtrack. Dre's production is uptempo and banging, with untouchable movie piano chords and booming bass and drums.and the song gives y'all the first glimpse of Truth's incredible voice. She can go from hip hop to r&b to opera with such range and ease its amazing. Just to remind ya Truths spectacular debut album should be out in october featuring production from dre, organized noise, dj quik, r kelly and tim and bob.
Other reasons to fasten your seatbelts is cause of upcoming west Coast albums from nate dogg, snoop (the blazin, i mean blazing "Bones" soundtrack), Fredwreck and Warren G. Dre and warren hook up for a few tracks and from what i've heard warren's really bringing the g funk this time. it may be his best album so far and thats saying something. Also check out 2 upcoming albums featuring Dre/Melman productions - Devin the dude and Busta rhymes. 6 years in the making dre has finally hooked up with busta. Dre and mel-man have given 3 booming tracks to Busta. "Break ya neck" might do just that.
I also urge everyone to support Bilal's "1st born second". not only cause dre contributes 2 great tracks, but it is just a great soul album.
Although Dre's recent collabs have all been blazin, dre has been keeping the more inventive and best tracks for himself and Aftermath releases. the stuff your gonna hear from Dre starting next month is all next level futuristic funk. dre's productions are ranging from hip hop to rock to r&b to soul back to hiphop. No matter what the funk remains constant. The hip hop songs include some uptempo bangers and some more laid back funk grooves. And believe me, some of the best is yet to come with Oh My God and Detox. so to all the people who want to bitch, whine, cry, and complain -  go ahead. just stay to the side or ya might get run over. i invite everyone else to hop in the car with dre behind the wheel, buckle yo belts, kick back, light a joint and get ready to be taken on a magical and musical ride. This ride will take you to some sonic destinations you never thought possible. so finally after a year of saying it there is no doubt now -  Starting next month your much appreciated patience will be rewarded. i hope y'all like what we've put together. If not I'm sorry. Just don't complain about lack of effort. with the lead of the ridiculously hard working dre, everyone on our team has givin and will continue to give our time, our lives, our hearts and our souls to the music. we all have sacrificed a lot and shed a lot of sweat to make the best music possible for y'all. But I'm confident y'all will be very happy with the music.
