OK...we all know Common got Cube good....Bitch in Yoo is probably a top 5 diss track.  But Cube never got a chance to respond, Farakhan, along with Common, initiated the whole peace thing in Chicago and it was squashed real quick. Supposedly WSC had a lethal response in the works but it got scrapped. Now, if the beef was not squashed right away, would Cube or WSG have been able to give a worthy reply to "B!tch in Yoo"? I'm not asking if Cube would be able to top it, because thats unfair to ask like it'd be unfair to ask NWA, or anyone, to top No Vaseline.

To answer this question, for me, a good point of reference is "No Rest for the Wicked". Now while it isn't on the level of Bitch in Yoo but, imo, is a top 20 diss track. When that dropped I couldn't fathom Cube being able to respond, BReal went hard as hell at Cube. But then I heard King of the Hill and while Mack 10 was good, Cube was on some next level shit:

Everybody in the Ghetto know what ya doin
1 White boy and 2 Fukkin Cubans
Claimin that your loco but u aint Mexican
Listen to a note of No Vaseline before you Flex again

Ya say that I took ya hook
It must be the white boyy thinkin all *****s crooks

So I ask..could he or WSG give a worthy response to Bitch in Yoo or would he have only done more damage by trying to reply since no response would be comparable. IMO, I have faith that Cube, in 1996, would've come up with something, we cant see it now...but i would've been something good....but thats just me.

yea Common went off on his cube's ass, but i think cube would of been able to come back with a worthy diss of his own...WC probably would of gone off as well assuming he'd be willing to participate)...Cube in 96 was probably the an artist at his best ever..shit any artist in there time, better than cube around '96??

Yeah he could have come up with SOMETHING. I am not saying it would or would not have matched The Bitch In You but something should have been said. Common even came out to LA and performed that song in Cube's backyard and he did not get served for that. But Cube said shortly after that they had the peace conference with Farakhaan so that was why he did not respond.

B-Real is a easier target also for Cube then Common after that diss he had towards Cube. That beef with Cypress was more personal but Cube should have repsonded to Common. I would delay a peace conference just to get a diss record in. ;D

Well Common was wrong when he said Cube hadn't made hot shit since AMW cause DC is better than Commons whole catalogue. But yer I have faith that Cube coulda come back hard. It would have been interesting because very rarely conscious rappers beef with gangster rappers.

Cube never did more than a couple of lines here and there about Common. Mack's and WC's verses were dissing no one in particular. Common did not respond for the longest time so to come with The Bitch In Yoo, NOOOO ONE saw that coming.

Yeah...Bitch in You was almost 2 years after Westside Slaughterhouse, which was early '05. Cube's verses on Slaughterhouse are straight up classic but they aren't directed towards Common save a few lines. Same thing with Hoo Bangin on Bow Down.

Westside Slaughterhouse isn't a diss record so they really shouldn't be compared.
