DJ Quik - ''Roger's Groove'' appreciation thread
« on: July 15, 2007, 11:44:42 AM »
this track is just magic... it's a crime Quik does not use the talkbox anymore.
hopefully Quik returns to his music we all know he used to make (maye his new solo album).
those timeless records he made... I can only listen to ''2007 rap'' a month before it get's boring.

That was such an awesome song.  Almost like Roger really did that song.

excellent song. his "groove" tracks on his albums are usually his best pieces of musical work.

Amazing and beautiful song. The talkbox is an amazing piece of technology itself, and Quik uses it to perfection.

I always found it ironic that on that track Quik says 'I promise to keep the talkbox alive for you', then turns around and says it's played out and that he won't use it anymore. A shame, as he's one of the best that's done it. Oh well.
