No Limit Top Dogg was a hella of a lot better than Tha Last Meal

1. better production by Dre, and Meech Wells, as well as production from DJ Quik and Ant Banks

2. Guest appearances were a lot better (Suga Free came tight, Mausberg tight, an appearance from Warren G, Goldie Loc's first appearance)

3. the best songs on TLM can't touch the best songs on Top Dogg (Lay Low vs. Bitch Please)

4. and the biggest thing, NO KOKANE!!!  Kokane was nowhere to be found on this album, and it was tight.   Snoop had ACTUALL singers (Raphael Saddiq, Jewell) do hooks instead of a George Clinton Wannabe.  and another reason is NO Mac Minista.  I don't know why Snoop let's him hang around him.  E-40 knew Mac Minista was nothing but a groupie that followed him about, but Snoop hasn't realized this yet.  MacMinista's interludes are pathetic

Besides the No Limit produced songs i have to agree that Top dogg was better than Last Meal. Top Dogg was an album, Last Meal was almost a compilation.
