I liked the mag initially, but they fell way the fuck off.  At first it was really a purist magazine, but then they started down the bullshit route.  The writing was on the wall.

Its true that after a certain time it was a little less about producers and becoming more general hip hop anfd then i stopped buying it lol but still my favorite magazine

From what I gather, that was the problem. Enough people weren't buying it when it was "purist," then they weren't buying it when it went commercial. Guess they couldn't find a big enough audience. A shame, as it was a pretty nice mag for a while.
