I don't think there's nothing wrong, he just don't know much yet. In the worst case, he could have said 50 and Candy Shop instead of 2 Pac and Hit Em Up, which is quite common today. By listening Pac you can discover a lot of great rappers like E-40, C-Bo , Dogg Pound, Rappin-4 Tay, DJ Quik and such.

I think its cool that some younger fans appreciate PAC.
(Usually its only his commercial successes and greatest hits)
But that makes sense.
If they were less than 10 years old during 1991-1996 they did not live through same stuff we did.

At least he didn't listen to 50 Cent, but that doens't make it right for him to not know about Bone.
