Jay-Z - American Gangster Tracklist
« on: October 03, 2007, 04:48:48 AM »
Rap-Up.com hast post an first tracklist for Jay-Z´s upcoming record "American Gangster"

Tracklist:
1. “Amen”
2. “Blue Magic”
3. “Untitled”
4. “Alright, Alright”
5. “You Don’t Know”
6. “And The Winner Is”
7. “American Gangster”
8. “Welcome”
9. “Ignorant Shit”
10. “The Demise”
11. “I Get Money (Remix)”

Don´t know what I should think about that. When this is the final tracklist, it sounds a lil bit unmotivated. I mean, whywil hel put the "I Get Money Remix" on it? Hope it´s a fake

The same tracklist is on the iTunes store, which I posted in The Vault. Doesn't sound completley official to me, iTunes tracklists always tend to change a little bit.

Well its a poor start with Blue Magic, what a trashy basic beat.

Named the song after what Frank Lucas (who Denzel plays) used to call his dope.

Blue Magic sucked balls. The album tracklist looks pretty shitty too, only 11 songs and includes the I Get Money remix LMFAO, looks like a fake. And i doubr 50 will drop anything along side this, hes not gonna keep his word, unless he drops the G Unit album a month earlier!!!

I thought Blue Magic was dope.

And fuck it, if 10 tracks is the amount he's inspired to do based on the movie, then he should stick with that. No need to have filler tracks on there that people are just gonna complain about. I'd much rather pay my 20-ish € for a CD with 10 or so dope ass tracks and no filler, than over 20 tracks half of which are worthy of throwing away.

I Get Money Remix as the last cut - sure I'd like it better if there was a new song there instead, but I think it fits on there. The record is about the dope game, and what is the dope game about? Getting money.

Of course, the music is what it ultimately comes down to. Not how many songs there are or what they're called. I'll definately check this out and see if it's good. But Jigga sounded inspired to do it, which is always a good sign.

Doesn't he already have a song called Ignorant Shit?
