Best Clean Versions
« on: October 03, 2007, 04:25:45 PM »
West coast is known for doing clean version of their hit single. Great way to rid of all that profanity. What's your favorite clean version?

Example:

* Dr. Dre f/ Snoop Dogg - Nuthin' But A G Thang
* Tha Eastsidaz f/ Snoop Dogg & Jayo Felony - Got Beef

(Will not post links unless asked for it. Don't wanna get it trouble by the man, if you know what I mean.)

2pac- I Ain't Mad At Cha, How Do You Want It, etc, hell any Pac single

Ice Cube's clean versions of his Predator album was sick. My mom bought it for me clean and I actually kept it until I bought it explicit.

Death Row was famous for this back in the day, I thought the Dre Day one was pretty tight some funny lines in that one ;D, the Clean version of Next Episode off of 2001 was tight as well Snoop ripped it

Pac's clean version were really dope, it's like he wantd to get his message across,so i guess that helped him  cratf his lyrics!

Another good one is Too Short's "Shake That Monkey."  His delivery is much lighter on the edited version, he seems like he was pissed off when he recorded the explicit one.  The lyrics are so much more hilarious in the explicit version though.  Another example like that is "To Live & Die In LA."
