Enter the Wu: 36 Chambers VS Illmatic
« on: July 17, 2001, 12:11:37 PM »
Last one was "Eazy Duz It" VS "No One Can Do It Better"...Well now I'm doing "36 Chambers" VS "Illmatic"...They were both early East Coast classics that put East Coast back on the map...I vote for "Illmatic"...Everyone needs to vote...Peace

36 CHAMBERS

THIS IS BECAUSE IMO IT DID MORE 4 RAP OVERALL AS ARTISTS LOOKED AT THINGS IN A NEW WAY AND IT AIDED A CHANGE.

BUT ILLMATIC IS STILL A CLASSIC!

Although IMO "36 chambers" is a dope Wu release I

gots 2 go wit "Illmatic". "N.Y. State Of Mind" is a

classic cut IMO. But, I must admit I feel "It Was

Written" alot mo' than Illmatic. I love everything

about Written, the beats/lyrics/overall production. &

it's got a great story telling factor 2 it. But thats jus'

me  ;D

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.
