First I thought I would just post his album from 2003, but I found out that there was a lot of new stuff from him, so I decided to make a mega-hook-up-post with Jahi :)

Jahi & the Life - Songs From the Next Level

I remember some people wanted to check this album out when I wrote that I was gonna buy it.. I forgot all about posting it though..
This album isn't exactly the same style beatwise as the album "SoulHop" that he did with the Nobody Beats The Beats crew, it's still pretty dope though.
The album is produced by "The Light" whoever that is.. This album is the clean version, I don't think that there even is a dirty version of the album, he doesn't curse that much though..

Tracks from his upcomming album WORDPOWERSOUND - Which sounds like its gonna be straight dopeness!
From his myspace http://www.myspace.com/soulhop:
Jahi - WORDPOWERSOUND (feat. Susanne Palsboll) - Produced by the Beat Sense Crew and Mogens Palsboll
Jahi - Can You Hear Me Now

From Strong Fire Entertainment's myspace www.myspace.com/strongfireentertainment.
Jahi - Life - I believe this will be on WORDPOWERSOUND

SlamJamz singles
He released two singles on slamjamz.com this year:

Jahi - Here It Is
Release date: 06/20/2007
Fresh off the US Beats To Mecca Tour as Public Enemys' chief Tour MC., JAHI bring power, grace, and hyped consciousness. Very powerful vocalist who has returned his ONE FAM operation into the SLAMdigital side of things , as well as doing his thing across the world. 'Here It Is' simply says it all. JAHI, no frills, no chaser, no bull sh*t...HERE IT IS.

Jahi - I'm A Star
Release date: 10/08/2007
Inspired by Chuck Ds endorsement of the Stephon Marbury clothing brand and picking up on NBA Chicago Bulls center Ben Wallaces' follow up, JAHI simply rocks the brand with a song. This track is a flashback to where the rap music business is headed. Style alignment this is. But trust us here is a love for what number 3 of the Knicks is doing for the 'hood'. Making both music and sportsgear not so far beyond the people.

Various tracks with Jahi

Jahi - Circles Of Life (feat. Susanne Palsboll) - Unreleased track. I think it was supposed to be on SoulHop. Produced by the Beat Sense Crew and Mogens Palsboll - Ripped from Strong Fire Entertainment's myspace www.myspace.com/strongfireentertainment
Three Black Men (feat. Wildchild, Jahi, Maylay Sparks & DJ Noize) - From the album "Beatman & Rockin' - Who's Supa Now"
DJ Noize feat. Jahi - What's Your World - Ripped from DJ Noize's myspace...
Jahi - Get High (Freestyle) - Ripped from Jahi's myspace

Bella - The Missing Link

Jahi features on 3 tracks on the female rapper Bella's album The Missing Link. I never heard of her before, but she is dope. Do yourself a favor and buy her album here: http://cdbaby.com/cd/bellahiphop or just the tracks with Jahi, it's $0,99 for each track, to support some great music. Or you can just get it here for free :)
Bella - All Day feat. JAHI
Bella - Cleveland Bred feat. JAHI
Bella - PSA feat. JAHI & Vizion

And for those who have'nt heard the album he did with Nobody Beats The Beats:
Jahi - SoulHop: The Breakthru
I fucking love this album!

Jakob, do you happen to have an mp3 of "Share It?"  That song is incredible and he won some award for it I believe.

Btw he is apparently dropping 2 albums next year, first one in February, called "WORDPOWERSOUND" and "INTELLIGENT MOVEMENT"..

Check out some tracks from it on his myspace: http://www.myspace.com/soulhop

His last blogpost from 19th september:

What Up.  As you know, I'm not a blogger.  But I got some new things happening that I want to put people on to.  First, if you don't know what's happening with the Jena 6- GET EDUCATED.  That's all I'm going to say.  Once you get information, then you can ACT.  Also, if you don't know about Stephon Marbury's shoes and clothes line- WAKE UP.  Go to www.starbury.com and see why this is the only shoe I will ever wear.  Bye Bye Adidias, Nike, Reebok, all of them.  Finally somebody got it right.  In honor of his movement, I have a song called "I'M A STAR" on my page right now.

Speaking of new music, "DO YOU FEEL WHAT I SEE" and "GRIND TODAY" were just put up as well.  These songs (and I'm a Star) were all written and produced by yours truly.  Expanding my capacity in this music game and stepping up to the production plate.  "WORDPOWERSOUND" and "CYCLES OF LIFE" are my European joints produced by the Beat Sense Crew and Mogens Palsboll, and features Susanne Palsboll on vocals.  Check her out at www.myspace.com/susannepalsboll.

Finally, I'm going to answer everyone's question about where they can find my music.  My last album Soulhop The Breakthru was released on EMI Music Denmark.  If you google the title, you should be able to find it as an import.  Unfortuantely, EMI is too stupid to realize there is a market for this album in the US, and is holding it in limbo.  My previous album, Songs from the Next Level can be found on I tunes and Rhapsody.  As far as my new albums WORDPOWERSOUND and INTELLIGENT MOVEMENT, they won't be out until February 2008.  It will be available via CDBABY.COM, I Tunes, etc, as well as in all your major record stores via distribution thru MVD.  Included will be a book and DVD.

I will be giving away the music on myspace when I feel like it.  Like I am for this weekend coming up.  I am doing a concert with the legendary KRS One, and why burn CD's when people can get in tune to the download universe.  So the music is there for a limited time (until Monday) for free.  If you are savvy enough, you'll have the whole album before Feb. as I change my songs all the time to keep it fresh.

No comment on Kanye and Curtis.  Matter of fact, no comment on anything happening in Hip Hop right now.  Dead Prez said it so well...It's bigger than Hip Hop.  There are greater things happening with hard working, everyday people all over the world that will never be on CNN.  Love yourself and enjoy the music...

I'm going to rip the tracks on his myspace which isn't for download too, those sounds pretty dope..

Thanks.  I've been to his myspace quite a bit recently checking for new tracks and it looks like you have supplied most of them.

I remember for a brief period earlier this year Jahi was listed as an artist from Paris' Guerrilla Funk label.  Wonder what happened with that?
