^^^truth dawg, when alicia keys pic is up in my view....i aint reading nuttin u got to say....im just looking at a pic aha
^well I have nothing against what he said about Dre!!!I already knew that, for awhile!!!But his explanation of different types of producers is on point!!!All you got to do is look at a lot of Rock bands and Indie bands. After all if a musician comes in playing a chord of an instrument and you like the way they played it, but wanted to experiment it further and advise them to play in an octave lower for two bars, then octave higher in quicker succession..What you've just done there is produce an new sound..wll that's my explanation!!There are some producers that may/may not want to hit the keys all the time, while they are others who love playing the Keys and have been trained and base their whole musicianship on the Keys..What Do you Think Elano???
It's like when you hear Dre with Scott Storch on there, yeah you can tell its Scott playing, but there is a difference between a Dre production and a Scott Storch production. Not to say that one is better then the other at this point but just to say that they have different visions. So there is a difference between playing the keys and producing.
There's a big difference between a producer and a beatmaker, most of the so-called producers are just beatmakers with musicians around the studio ready to play what they wants
what do y'all think about what he said of dre ?
