How come Dogg Food only got 2 videos?

I myself have wondered this as well. There were 4 singles: Let's Play House, NY NY, Respect, & Do What I Feel. I have always wondered why Respect never got a video, and why in the fuck Smooth was not a single. That song would've blown up back then.

Didn't Let's Play House come out first? I can't remember. You're probably right about Smooth being the first single, because I remember Lil Jay put up the original version of Smooth on his site. It was called Sho Shit or something back then and was recorded off the radio. If anybody has that they should upload it for the people who haven't heard it. The retail of Smooth shits on that version though.

Suge signing 2pac put any other projects to be put out or promoted on the back burner for a bit. Dogg Food basically got alot of its promo off of 2 things

yes, lets play house was the first single.  There are several reasons why I think Smooth got cut as a single, the biggest reason I would say is because Daz is not featured on it.  I think that is the main reason why they picked Let's Play House.  And even though Daz is not on NY NY, they wanted to play off the whole East vs West thing.

Smooth was called Sho Shit, and it was premiered on 92.3 the beat, an hour long interview w/ snoop, daz, kurupt, where they played all kinds of songs.  That interview is on the net, I have it, I know a lot of people on here have it.  Not a whole lot of difference in Sho Shit and smooth, however there are some tweaks in the instrumental I think, just kinda makes the retail sound a whole lot better.

Dogg Food was originally supposed to come out in the summer of 1995 but Death Row kept pushing it back until it finally came out in October, I think the constant push back of the album killed some of the buzz off but my personal opinion is that Suge did not see the album doing more than the usual 2 million that bascially their soundtracks were doing at the time and not the numbers that a Dre, Snoop or Pac album would do so they just stopped promoting it after a couple of videos
