in my book, swag isnt dressing like a fruitcup and talkin about how dope you are. it might not make sense to some of you, but i was talkin to bundy about it a little while ago: if you attack the mic, and have some energy and a sense of confidence in your delivery, then youve got swag, and thats engaging and interesting to listen to. unless im feeling really focused, ill take a lyrically good but not amazing rapper who has swag over some monotonous, lycially crazy backpack rapper who just raps about how his mindstate is illogical-philosophical-ostical. ya dig? and to anyone who says 'swagger' is a new thing in today's mainstream that fucks up the music, its been around since rap music was invented. afrika bambaataa had swag out the fuckin roof. ll cool j has always had swag. melle mel had swag. peace

the prob is people think they can be slick rick or big daddy kane, but they are very wrong and fall short. Their fault is that they can not elevate themselves as artists, and cannot grow and stretch the possibilities of rap, (what slick and kane did), thus we are hearing all these corny wana be swagger rappers, who can't find a niche in anything but copying and hoping they get a catchy hook to make them money
