too many motherfuccas download tons of shit and dont buy it.

exactly, thats the whole problem. a lot people dont even consider  buying music now.

just think, this technology (online downloading) could of been one the greatest things to happen to the music industry. instead its looked at as one of the worst.

If used correctly, it can help the industry in many ways.
-People can access music they wouldnt normally hear (just the other day i downloaded some house music for example). even if they dont end up buying the song, they can find an appreciation for new genres.
-New artists can spread their music and get people to hear it without the aid of radio/television
-Albums can be easily previewed in the comfort of the listeners home.

but then the greedy, bad side of society, as always, fucks it up. So many cheap mufuckas dont see the good points of the technology, for them its just a way of saving some money, or making them look good (eg online ripping groups such as RNS).

so then napster gets shut down, and im sure all these other programs will eventually too. people need to realize its not these programs that are doing the damage, its the people that misuse them.

Its a shame, but thats the way it is. Ignorant, greedy people fuck it up for the rest of us

i think part of the problem was that RIAA didnt properly respect the possibilities of downloading songs.. if they would've embraced the technology who knows what things would be like now, but i dont think overall that they've felt any real impact... i mean i'm sure artists hav felt an impact but as a whole i'm the pretty sure the big 5 hav a had recordbreaking year in sales, just like they do and have every year for awhile..

Man, But Movie Ticket Sales Are Up Big Too.

So I Think Napster Isn't Why The CD Sales Are Up.
