Pillman, the Outsiders, Austin, ECW as a whole, Shawn Michaels, they laid down the foundation. I can't put my figure on who started it, who was the most of important, who was the innovator, but all of them were so huge.

from what I remember, he didn't want to work with Hogan because of Hogan's political influence that would probably cause Hogan to win the match over Austin.

basically a clash of egos; not sure if the WCW issue influenced his decision about not working with Hogan (probably did though to some degree).

pillman belonged in either ecw or wwf's attitude era...he was way ahead of his time....his loose cannon gimmick was too over the top for wcw...if it wasn't for that car accident pillman would have reached his full potential and he woulda became a main eventer. he would be up there with the austins, outsiders, etc...R.I.P.

Pillman was great but I couldn't imagine ever becoming as big as Austin became. Austin was more responsible for money being made than anyone else. Hogan and Austin and then there is everyone else as far as the modern era is concerned.
