i would definately rank dogg food up there with them cds you named, it's even better than some like the 2pac me against the world, that cd was good but not awesome, pac's best shit was yet to be released, i would rank dogg food about the same as e.1999, peace.

LOL! Better Than Pac's MATW!!! Lemme Guess The SSLP And MMLP Is Better Too...Dogg Food Was Nice Though...But Cuban Linx Is Better Too And Has Changed Hip Hop As Well As Pac's Joint...

Haha, Dogg Food is NOT better than Me Against The World, not even close. Nor is it better than E.1999 Eternal....Its a good album, but Me Against the World and E.1999 Eternal are just too groundbreaking.......Ill explain why.

Me Against was the album where Pac matured on, and really put out his deepest and most sentimental work ever. Though All Eyez On Me and Makaveli are great, Me Against The World is the album that pushed Pac over the top as a great MC. Few albums rival the emotion seen on Me Against The World. You can feel Pac's pain on that album, perhaps more so than on any of his other albums [except maybe Makaveli]. I actually like Makaveli better, but if it werent for Me Against The World, there might not have been a Makaveli. MATW was truly the album which made Pac into what he is today: a legend.

E.1999 Eternal. Few albums are as influential as this one. This album basically brought an entire new sound to hip hop, and people are STILL trying to duplicate today, but with no success. Had this album not been released, midwest hip hop might still be underground today. This album put an entire region on the map. Dogg Food, like I said before, is a good album, but its nowhere near the caliber E.1999 Eternal is.

are you talking about the production of e. 1999, cuz both dogg food and bone's album are g-funk or are you talking about the "dark side" they had on it?

"Dogg Food" is in the top 5 albums of all time..."Me Against the World" is not even a classic....I laugh at your coments....Maybe "Only Built For Cuban Linx" and "E 1999" are up with it...But "Dogg Food" is a classic...ODB and "Me Against the Worl" weren't...

LOL! i  laugh at your comments..top 5 albums? LOL! what impact did dogg food have on the hip hop nation? other than it sounding good? its a 4.5 at the most...

there is more to a CLASSIC album then just beats and rhymes...

hellrazor already stated the impact of MATW...

well i guess its all opinionative but more ppl think MATW is a CLASSIC than Dogg Food...MATW is a certified CLASSIC...even those east coast dick riders at the SOURCE call it a MASTERPIECE...i aint heard shit about Dogg Food...

top 5 i dont think so...

Ready to die
illmatic
36 chambers
MATW or 7DT
southernplayalisticadiliac
cuban linx
chronic
doggystyle
and many more above it

True that, Ashtray.

Me Against The World is alwayz gonna have great rotation in my stereo. Dogg Food, while good, doesnt get as strong of rotation as Me Against The World. What songs on Dogg Food can fuck with So Many Tears, Lord Knows, Young Niggaz, Fuck The World, etc etc?? There is indeed more to an classic than beats and rhymes. I judge an album by those two things, as well as overall chemistry, concept, impact/influence, solidity, and cohesion. Me Against The World is at the top in almost all of those categories, and ive stated why its a classic already. Dogg Food has alot of good tracks, but it didnt really have a huge impact on hip hop the way an album like 36 Chambers, Southernplayalistic, The Chronic, or Creepin On Ah Come Up did.

ok...me against the world is jolly and all, but CUBAN LINX HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH X 4.5

but for real, dogg food is some of the best shit to ever hear my ear drums, its up there with chronic, doggystyle and all eyez on me (PACS BEST ALBUM!) as the top 4 death row albums ever.....ok westcoast veteran, dogg food didnt have any impact in the rap game? what impact did these so called classics have?

Doggystyle?? all it was was a continuation of chronic except not as emotional or dark

me against the world? what did that ad to the game?

cuban linx-again hahahaha at best a 3.5, and not just to me, alot of people dont think this shit is great

odb-lol, i was talking to big jake about this, he is funny, and entertaining, maybe a little bit more talented version of bizare

there are so many more

chronic
ready to die
illimatic
southernp...........

those are prolly the only 4 albums that totally changed the game single handedly...the rest that changed it, linked off thesee..

now predator by ice cube is kinda there..but its hard to decide

So Much Style, your last post is so wrong I dont even know where to begin. Only Built 4 Cuban Linx not influential??? Son, I dont think you know one tenth of the influence that album really had. Cuban Linx was the album that basically started the mafiaso/don type shit, and it was a concept album about the drug traffic in America today, the first album of its kind. Im sorry, but this album is 3259870932963092 x more influential than Dogg Food. Other albums that had a bigger impact than Dogg Food did:

36 Chambers
E.1999 Eternal
Creepin On Ah Come Up
Southernplayalistic
ATLiens
All Eyez On Me
The Chronic
Doggystyle
Ready To Die
Liquid Swords
Illmatic
Stankonia
The Infamous
Midnight Marauders
Dare Iz A Darkside

And thats just a FEW......
