having shaq and two all stars on the team eventually helped kobe for the better, the defense would focus more on Shaq and allowed kobe more opportunity for a mismatch or a 1 on 1 with a defender making it easier to score or gettin more open looks at the basket.  Jordan and Lebron scored with no help at all, no big center in the middle, and being double teamed most of the time.  if lebron passes kobe it'll be more impressive than kobe doing it in 11 seasons but really doesn't matter to me this stat is pointless.
Yeah right , Kobe had his best two scoring season without a single help  ::)

which makes him sound like a ball hog

the point of basketball is WINNING, not scoring.

now that Kobe isn't scoring 50 points a game the Lakers are ironically winning again.  go figure.

More like, now that Kobe has some help he doesn't need 50 points a game for the Lakers to have a chance...Go figure. :-*

Using "What If's" are never a good way of pleading a case. What if Kobe was the leader of the Lakers and there was no Shaq? What if Kobe didn't do a great job as a leader? What if's...
You just argued in this thread that if Wilt was in the leauge eralier Kobe wouldn't have broken his record. Now when people say the same thing for LeBron you say it's never a good way of pleading a case? Get the fuck outta here.

LMAO...SGV exposed.

Uh... I was including myself in that statement. Using what ifs are not a good way of pleading your case. I don't think I single anyone out. Moreover it was a blanket statement, under which I fall...

A better explanation would be, it took Wilt 5 or 6 years to do what took Kobe 11. And, at the rate LeBron is playing, he'll be hitting the mark before Kobe did, as well.
