Outlawz Discography Review (D~Nice Edition)
« on: January 16, 2008, 10:40:11 PM »
Aight back with another one of these, needed to do one since I have pretty much given up on doing a Eiht one (too many albums). Still might to it in sections. Anyway everyone knows the story about the Outlawz. This review will focus on their group albums.

  1. Intro
  2. Outlaw 2000
  3. Life Is What You Make It
  4. Black Rain - (featuring Val Young)
  5. Hang On - (featuring Ya Yo Mil)
  6. Soldier To A General
  7. When I Go - (featuring Val Young)
  8. Who? - (featuring Phats/Akwylah)
  9. Nyquil Theory, The
  10. Fuck With Me
  11. Get Paid - (featuring T.Q.)
  12. Good Bye - (featuring Mil/Divine)
  13. Mask Down - (featuring Ya Yo Mil/H-Rider)
  14. Nobody Cares
  15. Geronimo Ji Jaga (Interlude)
  16. Maintain - (featuring Supreme C/Mil)
  17. Smash - (featuring Bad Zzz/Spice 1/Low Lives)
  18. Jersey Mob (Interlude)
  19. Murder Made Easy - (featuring Smooth/Dirty Bert/Trife/Akwylah)

Ride Wit Us Or Collide Wit Us- Nice debut album. Mr Lee, Quimmy Quim and Mike Dean did the majority of the beats. RAL produced tracks were all fire but a couple of the other ones were weak. Outlawz showcased their wide range of subject matter discussed on this album, which is now a trademark of theirs. Did great numbers for a indie release.

  1. Intro
  2. Rize - (featuring Big Syke)
  3. This Is The Life
  4. Ghetto Gutta - (featuring Edi/Kastro)
  5. Our Life
  6. Ya'll Can't Do
  7. Interlude 1
  8. Red Bull & Vodka
  9. 2nd Hand Smoke
  10. Interlude 2
  11. Boxspring Boogie - (featuring Young Noble)
  12. History - (featuring Seal)
  13. So Many Stories - (featuring Kaillion)
  14. World Wide Remix - (featuring 2Pac/T-Low)
  15. Die If U Wanna - (featuring Napoleon)
  16. Interlude 3
  17. Loyalty - (featuring Ed Bone/Kamikaze)

Novakane- A much more cohesive release. Tracks like History, Our Life, Red Bull & Vodka and the infamous Fatal diss track Loyalty really showed the growth from 1st album to 2nd album. Solid release. A 2pac repeat from World Wide Mob Figgas but I liked how they remixed it.

  1. Intro
  2. Gatz Up
  3. What Side U On?
  4. Move Somethin'
  5. Everything Is Alright
  6. Playtime
  7. Stick 2 The Plan
  8. Not Real
  9. Us
  10. Black Diamond
  11. Why?
  12. Pleasure Of Sin
  13. Desperation
  14. Blessings
  15. Lost And Turned Out
  16. Outro

Neva The Rap-A-Lot Sessions- Probably other than Retribution their best album IMO. Mike Dean and Mr. lee handled the beats, as this was recorded while they were signed to RAL. The beats were all bangin and they had that venom back in their rhymes. Glad to see this album was FINALLY released after they had left the label.

   1. Real Talk (Produced By: Focus... for a-FOC-aliptic/ Aftermath)
   2. Can't Turn Back (Produced By: AD Future for Divine Music Group)
   3. Celebrate (Reo)
   4. Big Ballin (Produced By: The Legendary Traxster)
   5. They Don't Understand (Produced By: Dani Kartel)
   6. Let It Burn (Produced By: The Legendary Traxster)
   7. If You Want 2 (Produced By: Focus... for a-FOC-aliptic/ Aftermath)
   8. These Are The Times (Produced By: Mando)
   9. Ghetto Gospel Part 2 (Produced By: AD Future for Divine Music Group)
 10. Smilin Faces (Produced By: The Outlawz & J Mack)
 11. I Dare U (Produced By: Focus... for a-FOC-aliptic/ Aftermath)
 12. Don't Get It (Produced By: The Outlawz & J Mack)
 13. Sacred Vows (Produced By: The Outlawz & J Mack)
 14. Better It Get (Produced By: Gorilla Teck for Drum Majorz)
 15. Interlude
 16. Listen 2 Me (Produced By: The Outlawz & J Mack)
 17. Losin My Mind (Produced By: Gorilla Teck for Drum Majorz)

Outlaw 4 Life 2005 A.P.: This is probably their most diverse album. I think Focus from Aftermath was the co executive producer on this one. The beats were tight on this one. Napolean had left by this time and was replaced with Stormey, who has a very distinct style, but it fits with the group. He handled alot of hooks on this album.

These are the actual core group albums. Their are countless solo albums and duo projects including the solid Against All Oddz which came out in 06 (edi & noble) and Fatal and Noble's album last year. As always the constant gripe with them is they reference 2pac too much which I can't really disagree with, but they cover a wide range of topics other artists just don't do. Retribution is their best album and was released as a mixtape though in aight quality. That was the album they did on Death Row. But if I had to rate these albums it would go like this:

RAL Sessions
Outlaw 4 Life
Novakane
RWUOCWU

They are interchangeable for me at times but I found their more recent work they added much better beats and the rhymes stepped up also. All of their tracks with Young Buck that have dropped recently have been STR8 FIYAH so I am definitely looking forward to their Cashville Records debut with hopefully some Fatal Hussein and Big Syke on the album.

Umm they were good. I liked the rock tracks better on Skull & Bones though.
