Just registered on the forum. Just wanted to holla at everyone.  Hope I can discuss plenty of topics regarding the westcoast.

My first topic I want to discuss is what do you all think of Ice Cube as a rapper?  And which other rappers would he sound good with?

Ice Cube is my favourite rapper.  Iv'e liked Cube's music since I took an interest into gansta rap music.  I think sometimes Cube dosen't get the props or recognition he deserves compared to people like Dre, Snoop, Badboy, Wu-Tang, DMX,
Jay-Z and many other artists because of his age and because he has been in the game for over 10 years.  I love his music, old skool and the new shit.  I think the production has improved over the years.  My favourite album has to be Bow Down with WSCG. I'd love Cube to work with artists like DMX, Ice-T, Wu-Tang, and some underground artists.  What do you all think?

P.S. I read a rumour on the internet, can't remember the exact website, but it said that Ice Cube might join Dre on Aftermath when his contract expires with Priority Records.  Does anyone have any info on this.

Cube was my hero...Then the bitch went Hollywood. He's a gifted rapper, good flow, but his lyrics aren't shit no more, however well he raps 'em. I miss Cube. I mean the REAL Cube, not the shadow of Cube that wears white and walks off stage before he should finish the concert.

yup Cube is a legend, but i disagree with anyone who thinks Cube doesnt get his props/respect.
Cube is always considered one of the greatest, not just on the west coast either, greatest anywhere.

the War disc was underrated by critics tho, that album was DOPE, peace disc sucked ass tho.

Cube has been one of my favorite rappers.  He's fuckin' tight in the studio and pretty tight on the set.  I love his attitude, delivery, and lyrics when he's on the micc.  

I agree w/ Trauma, he was puttin' it down in Boyz N the Hood.  

But, I think that nigga needs to get his ass out of the acting industry and start droppin' some more music for the millenium

Cube is just as commercial now. Peace disc was nuthin but catchy dance songs.

Cube is definitely one of the greats. All his albums had somethin special about them. I miss the young, pissed off Cube. He had problems with society and it made his songs better.

I'm as big a Cube fan as there is.  I've been bumping his shit since his NWA days (I even got all his lynch mob stuff) And even with all of the marginal shit he's put out over the last 5 years it's still head and shoulders above 95% of the rest of the rap out there.  And when he drops a joint that's on point...forget about it, there ain't nobody better.

My biggest beef with Cube is Don Mega.  Fuck Don Mega!  I like Ice Cube.  I'm feelin his shit 100% when he's just that plain ol nigga Ice Cube.  His whole Don Mega persona is just wack to me.

Cube is a legend. The War Disc is a classic album in my mind. Cube may be done with music, but to say he has gone hollywood is straight ignorance. When you're a great rapper/entertainer lots of people are going to like you and when this happens people start to call you a "SELL OUT" ... well that's straight BS in my mind. Cube is a talented man... he was born to entertain and he is doing that with music, movies, etc... I don't think we will ever see another cube album ... that's my opinion ... but he is a legend to not be forgotten, a hero in gangsta rap music, a celebrity to millions. He's done it all.
