Alright i am dedicating this thread to the albums coming out during 2001 that i may be interested in or will buy. so far in 2001, i have caught up my collection buying a bunch of old east coast classics (illimatic, it was written, born again)  but so far i have bought these albums in 2001:

sticky fingaz: very dope, my fav so far this year.
9.5 out of 10

dogg pound-tied with sticky, daz comes back with dope beats and kurupt and daz are both tight on this album 9.3

eve-alright album i suppose..only had about 4 songs that i would rotate when listening, dre was a big reason i even got this one.

dr dre unreleased and exclusive-i know it didnt come out in 2001, but i downoaded this bootleg, pretty good, could have gone without the r&b songs

kuruption was very wack, cause kurupt tryed to make his album pop sounding, then he went back to what he is good at with streetz, gangsta stories and dope beats, and it was loved, proclaimed classic by many, well by the telling of the first single, he is expiermenting with the 2. but hardest muthafucka is a dre sounding beat that sounds like streetz matereal. i have now heard 5 songs off the album 3 are strr8 heat and 2 are poppy..i still expect a reall good album

u know what? call me crazy but i am gonna make a bet saying rakim wont come out will 2002....dre is gay with this kidna stuff..i know he is a perfectionist...but he said chronic 2001 would be out in the spring of 1999....then it got delayed and delayed all the way to november 16th....

he is too busy with otehr artists so we wil c rakim in 2002 or VERY late 2001

i can't say that imma burn it cause i hate burned cds and i love the original cd. to tell the truth i don't care if death row gets my money, more power to them. i don't like the shit they've done in the past and continue to do but i do like the fact that they release old shit from my favorite artists. but i don't like the shady way that they release it, fuckin with other artists dates and shit but what can you do. death row ain't shit, but they have some dope past that i am willing to pay for along with alot of other people, you know, peace

no, what i am saying is its Gay that he claimed he was "near completion" with chronic 2001, in about july, then it takes 4 fucking monthes....mel man said on here that it was NEARING COMPLETION: BUT....BUT, dre wants to re do some tracks and 'kim is gonna work with premo too....so in other words atleast 6-8 more months..

dre said that he needs to re do some tracks on i think mtv.....and that premo is gonna work with him next month...so that puts us back 2 monthes, we are in august now....then they need to fix and re do all the vocals....with there pace they are in like october now....then they get guest appearences and ready it.....

Have we forgotten that the Chronic was recorded in 3 months. Plus if you think about 2001 he was having problems because he had to change the title a couple times.
