well first it is the devils sign upside down (a lot of people dont know this)

..well not really the Devil would like to turn everything that is made by God upside as his objection and rejection to everything that God has created..
Yes the cross upside would signal that..
however the cross right side up without or without Christ has nothing to do with the Devil from popular media the devil can't stand to see that..Whether that is true or not is anybody's guess!!

However if i could get a little biblical here..When Christ died on the Cross he reunited man with God trough his sacrifice..Hence the reason why the cross the image is powerful symbol even though the Devil figured that by Christ going to cross he would finally have victory over him,but Christ turn it around..so the Devils' only  option is to pervert that symbol..Hence the upside Cross and it's usage in popular media as a sign that something evil is nearby..

However not wearing the cross by claiming your Christian is not uncommon..either!

it's faith that it's based on what you believe and one's relationship with God the father..
