Dat Ni99a Daz vs. Daz Dillinger
« on: February 27, 2008, 05:51:29 PM »
It's pretty obvious that around '97 Daz changed his flow and nickname.  He went from laid back style on Doggy Dogg World, Come Up 2 My Room, Big Pimpin and the Dogg Food album to a more energetic flow that was first heard on Don't Try To Play Me Homey and solidified on the Revenge Retaliation & Get Back album.

The Daz Dillinger style works on most of the post-97 songs, but the DND style is straight up classic and in my opinion preferrable when compaing the two.  Which side of the fence is everyone else on?

Daz had one of the smoothest flows in the game back in the mid 90's, then he began kind of shouting on tracks at times and changed his flow up I guess to fit his name Dillinger, Dat Ni99a Daz for me as well

He should try both. His latest efforts were most likely average lyrically and flow-wise... It's just that he sounds the same on nearly every track. If he could do a more diverse flow like going back to the laid-back style or back to the reggae style on some songs / verses, that'd be cool.

Just my thoughts tho...

Shit, I have favorites by DAZ from across his whole 15 year career.

I Love the Classic Shit but I also really appreciate his newer shit. I can't decide.

I think that over the years (Especially 2003-2007) DAZ and Kurupt both developed and became more Versatile than ever. 8)

Don't Waste Time Hating on Kurupt just because he gets the Appreciation that you think YOUR favorite artist deserves. You should try being more Positive about Life and Post about things that YOU LIKE instead of Whining Like a BITCH. Convert All That Hate into Positive Energy to Promote YOUR # 1 Artist.
