I was wondering how the sound quality is compared to the originals since one of the problem with these albums was the mastering since Dre was not involved

yeah i wonder too; i downloaded the remastered version of tha doggfather once ( well it wasn't complete for some reason though  :P ), but didn't really notice any difference in the sound quality. so unless it wasn't ripped from the reissue ( which would imply incorrect tag information, which is very possible) death row did a poor job with remastering.

Didn't know there was released a remastered Rhythm & Gangsta! That album didn't really need that, Doggfather did big time though.. The remastered version Death Row released for Doggfather didn't really have alot of improvement, maybe it's just me but that whole album sounds so damn low!

I've got remastered versions of both, although I remember reading on here that remastering won't really improve sound quality on any CDs after like 1993. It was in a 2Pac thread somewhere about a year ago.

Saying that, I'm happy with the sound quality of both.

For real? I have the remastered copy too, but nothing to compare it against. The version of Regulate on there sounds just as crisp and clear as any other version I have (various singles, compilations etc.)

I'll try to find that thread - contains some interesting info.

to the people who own the cds, could you rip the albums into wav format and send a rar file over dubcc?

I own the "Digitally Remastered" of Tha Doggfather, but there's not much a difference, to be honest. The DJ Pooh produced tracks are one the same sound level as before, lyrics are too low, beat is too loud.
