Julio G was Fired by his RAdio Station!!
« on: May 02, 2001, 06:27:59 PM »
WTF??????????

taken from http://www.daveyd.com/

Bad news for Hip Hop fans in LA. Long time fixture and Hip Hop pioneer Julio G has been given the ax at KKBT The Beat. For those who are familiar with Julio, it comes as a total shock and disappointment. Julio's roots go way back to LA early Hip Hop days when the legendary radio station KDAY was around. He was an original member of the famed mixmasters crew which included Joe Cooley and Tony G. KDAY of course was the country's first Hip Hop oriented rap station. Julio's on air presence was a reminder to all of just how deep rooted LA's Hip Hop scene was.

now that is some Fucked up shit...

Oh my god dude....But my Radio (My school Elective) Teacher told me that once a Radio station changes it's dial, they usually fire all the old DJ's and bring in new ones...I guess this is why...I hope Power 106 gets him...Power 106 is waaay more real than the beat...Oh and if not Power, then he can go to Q1047 (104.7) which is also a tight ass radio station.....Damn that sux to have the greatest DJ fired from the gayest Radio Station....

GOD DAMN MUTHAFUCKING BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!

What's up with The Beat. They got rid of all their good DJ's. Theo was awesome. Way better than Adimu. They got rid of Theo and now he works for Mega 92.3. Then they got rid of the best morning radio show around, John London and the House Party. I loved them. They moved to Mega and now they dissappeared too.

Why are they fucking up their station?

Lets hope Power 106 picks him up. They are way smarter than The Beat the past couple of years.

from what i hear Julio has got some big things planned and i think he will help bring west coast hip hop to a new high.

Its funny if you peep his bio page at the beats web site (www.thebeatla.com) he says 'Im not really a radio DJ, im just hustlin the beat for now'.

i doubt he'll go to Power, theres no way theyd get rid of Felly Fel, since he has that same time slot julio had.

much love to Juli the OG, one of the few people who has always been down for the west, do your thing playboy.

fuck the beat

I told you...They changed Dials from 92.3 to 100.3 because they weren't getting ratings, and when you try to get higher ratings you do the following...

1.Get rid of all your old DJ's
2.Hire new ones
3.change Dials
4.and get a new manager

Basically they went R&B...

And actually they are getting higher ratings because a bunch of little teeny boppers are tunin in to Steve Harvey insteada Big Boy...But Power 106 is 097402`73409873249321765409 times better....

The Beat got rid of the Wake Up Show, and Julio G. That is a shame, If Eazy was still around, they would have got rid of Ruthless Radio too. Fuck it though, I've been Power since the Baka Boyz started and they brought in the man known as BBIIIGGG BBOOOOYYY!!!! Though Julio G gets much love, he still produces tracks for Thump Records, as do the Baka Boyz, which if ya'all don't know is a mainly Mexican Record label, though they do have The Whole Dam Yey with Ant Banks. Julio G is still working so I'm not to upset. But the Beat is straight gay now. Jay-Z and R&B. Come on.

What happened to the Baka Boys? Are they still on radio.

And what really, really, REALLY pissed me off was that they got rid of Theo and John London and the House Party a couple of years back. I still haven't forgave them for that. For years they would make my morning and afternoon start off on a good note.
