Crooked I Preps New Tape W/Strong & Whoo Kid - April 10, 2008 By : Eddie

Fresh off the mammoth success of his "Hip-Hop Weekly" series, Crooked I is prepping a new mixtape called "Block Obama" with DJ Strong & DJ Whoo Kid. The project will feature a mix of original productions and freestyles, with plenty of surprises in store as well.

We caught up with DJ Strong to discuss the project, and he expressed his enthusiasm. "It's Crooked I at his finest", Strong said of the tape. When asked about his collaborations with DJ Whoo Kid, Strong replied, "We got into talks about doing more tapes together, so me and him are going to knock out some real top notch West Coast [mixtapes] before summer. There should be 4 or 5 of them with Whoo Kid and myself."

4 or 5 Crooked I mixtapes with Strong and Whoo Kid LMAO, i highly doubt that, maybe 2 max. But isnt his album coming out around summer time? And this Block Obama tape was suppose to be his last one. And isnt he dropping The Dream Tape aswell? Wtf im confused LOL!!!

Man I can't wait for this... I was actually a little let down by "St. Valentine's Day Bossacre" so hopefully this one will have some crazy joints on it. Whoo Kid and DJ Strong been doin' this for a minute now so I doubt they are going to let a half ass product drop.

Crooked's already there. LOL, I kid, I kid.

I'm not really looking forward to this.  Whoo Kid will ruin the tape with his gunshots and his "Bring it back!" phrase.  Crooked's debut looks to be coming out in 20(insert year here) with all of his mixtapes that he's supposed to drop.

Why not let September 7th or DJ Warrior do the tape?

Too bad that all these years, instead of concentrating in creating new original music, and working on albums, Crooked I wastes his time with those stupid mixtapes. The curse of the 21th century I guess.... Too bad. Instead of developing as an artist, creating his own sound and identity, he'd rather do mixtapes.
I'm sorry if Crooked I groupies will be offended by this, but that's the opinion of a true rap fan, and a Crooked I fan as well. I just want rappers to reach their potential and that's something Crooked I hasn't been able to do.
