There's one thing I never understood about the beef. Not only did Canibus had to change his verse but LL also dissed him in the same song. But how come Canibus is still in the video, didn't he hear the obvious diss from LL ? Unless LL played him dirty.

You ant to hear him spit for real, listen to him between 1984 and 1993.If you wanna get specific, "Radio" and "Bigger and Deffer" were overall great albums (however B&D saw the birth of LL's love songs w/ "I Need Love"). He began getting overly poppy w/ "Walking Like a Panther". On the Marley Marl remix of "Jingling Baby", if you really pay attention to LL's lyrics and flows you'll swear to god that Big Daddy Kane wrote that shit, flowed that shit, and then let LL come in and re-record it. That song is 90% Juice Crew / 10% LL. Mama Said Knock You Out truly was a comeback for him regardless of his opening line on that joint. After that, LL was still successful but commercial - but he did have a lot of cats copying his style. But his shit got way too formulaic and unoriginal. The Canibus beef (which was sparked when this song was recorded) brought LL back to spittin with some fury on a single for a change. So to break it down, give me LL from 85-88, 1990/91, and briefly in 1997/98.

Unless LL played him dirty.Canibus was asked to remove his line, but LL left his in because he thought that no one would learn that it was aimed towards Canibus. But then LL said people like Trackmasters & Chris Lighty ran their mouth all over NY about the line and hyping it as beef.LL then suggested said that they should do an underground track together, but then Canibus dissed him on 2nd Round Knockout. This should clear it up - Leaked telephone conversation between LL and Canibus regarding the beef and verse.http://www.youtube.com/v/CgDgsm-fRZwAlso here is a miniclip from the Beef II DVD which talks aboutHere is the a mini Clip of the beef on Beef II videohttp://youtube.com/watch?v=kmW447Lhvnk
