DJ Quik Smooth Track Thread
« on: May 25, 2008, 03:14:36 PM »
I'm not as big a fan of DJ Quik as some on this forum, as i've learnt there are still HUNDREDS of tracks he has produced and i've never heard of. (One being Live from L.A i just saw on youtube a second ago, WOW :| :| :|!!!!)
I've always been appreciative of the talent he's possessed and relayed through his albums (I have Safe + Sound, Trauma, Greatest Hits, and that live from the house of blues, i've heard the others too).

So i'm asking from you people to recommend the smoother tracks he's produced so i can look into listening to this. Thanks and props in advance.

What i'm talking about is tracks like.

Butch Cassidy feat DJ Quik - So Cold (CDQ version was given out by dubcc a while ago as i remember, good shit)
Summer Breeze
Various Quik's Grooves/Quikstrumental
Keep tha P in it
Somethin' for the Mood

Again thanks and props to those who respond with positive answers and helpful feedback.

***EDIT

If someone's got Live from L.A even in that low quality available, hook it up please  ;D

That was on the Greatest Hits thing wasn't it? Yeah smooth song, especially when it was played live by that bunch, most songs sound better played live. Like tonite  8)

Props to you both.

Oh and that Everyday feat Mausberg and R.kelly, i remember hearing that too, that was on the unreleased mixtape/album thing, that's where i heard So Cold orignally in it's low quality.

I know one of you muthaphuckas out here got Live in L.A in lower quality. Don't let me down  lol
