I don't find nothing wrong with it, its real life! These are the rappers that the kids are listening too, you know what im saying, if a kid lives on the west coast, and he listens to down south or east coast music, then how do you think he's style is gonna be, if he tries to rap like a "west coast rapper"(what ever that stereotype is) he would be faking, cuz he don't even listen to that shit, you feel me?its common sense, i think you guys take this music shit too too serious.Hip Hop is a South Bronx or New York City art form, that has transended many communities in the USA. Every different community has its own swag, but at the end of the day it is all the same, therefore there is not really a such thing as east coast or downsouth or west coast style, just variations of what people choose to talk aboutand we all live in the USA, see the same shit on TV, do pretty much the same things, I don't see nothing wrong with it.and while we are on this subject for instance, check out this rapper, he's a West Coast rapper but just did a collabo with Down South Artist, and the song is hella swagged out, with alot of flavor because of the 2 cultures.SCAR FACE PRESENTS....GREEN CITY 'BRAND NEW MONEY'"DO IT LIKE I DONE IT"(WEST COAST REMIX) - GREEN CITY feat. West Coast Artists Must Have West Coast Sound.W´z Up!
Quote from: Changed Man on July 19, 2008, 11:44:39 AMWest Coast Artists Must Have West Coast Sound.W´z Up! look, young west coast g's and old ones too!do what the fuck you want, don't let nobody tell you how you must sound, that is the complete oppisite of hip hop!hip hop is a culture of doing what the fuck you want, and getting your voice heard, no rules or regulations, fuck these old spectators, their chances are up! Do you! If they say you got an east coast flow, take it as a compliment, basicly they saying you are lyrical, if they say you got a down south flow, they saying your shit sounds catchy, if they say you got a west coast flow, they saying you doing gangsta rap,see you motherfuckas got the game twisted, not every black or hispanic person in ca or la is a gang banger, they may be gangstas or thugs, but not a gangbanga, so for you to try to force people to do gangsta west coast rap, is against hip hop, thats why their is so many studio gangstas, because the community forces these rappers to be what they not.Where the rappers thats being themselves? not everybody in Cali likes that Mexican funk music or wants to hear that shit in every rap beat they hear, let snoop do that shit
